Dentures

We can easily replace one or two missing teeth through methods that include dental implants and bridges. However, patients who are missing most of their smile or every tooth can benefit greatly from dentures. When you come to Nabors Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, we’ll provide you with high-quality restorations built to last for years. It’s time to light up the room with your new smile!

What Are Dentures?

While most tooth restorations are permanently placed in the mouth, dentures are a removable and non-invasive option. While dentures in the past have been known to slip around when eating or speaking, the dentures we offer are custom-made to fit like your natural smile, limiting the chances of this occurring.

Dr. Nabors might recommend extracting some of your remaining teeth depending on their placement and condition. If this is necessary, we’ll do this before placing your new dentures.

Types of Dentures

You will typically be able to choose between conventional or immediate dentures. Immediate dentures can be placed immediately, while conventional ones are placed after the gum heals from any extractions.

It’s also possible to get dentures even if you do have remaining teeth. In these cases, we’ll use partial dentures. If you are missing all your teeth or are getting the remaining ones extracted, we’ll provide complete dentures.

What Are the Benefits of Dentures?

  • Increased self-esteem
  • A natural appearance
  • Renewed ability to eat some of your favorite foods
  • Improved speech
